Becoming a mom is teaching me how to rest, play, and enjoy more and more this sweet gift before me. There's not enough hours in the day, and yet I can remember thinking if there were less I'd have more time to sleep. Glad those days are gone and these have arrived.
Happy 6 months girl!

Bebe' on the way

The sheer fact that I have a wonderfully hand-crafted flower pinned to my scarf should give-away my current state-of-mind. This little girl moves and stretches at her leisure and has grown like a little dandelion weed. I can't wait to see her precious face. And on another note, every first time expecting mom should consider the joys of being "fed" baby food-YUCK!
My dear and precious friends hosted an amazing baby shower over the weekend
There wasn't a moment I didn't look around the room and see someone I loved and admired.
(courtesy http://onawhim-laurak.blogspot.com) nice artwork Laura! a jellybean baby!

We are digging in our heels around here and constantly cleaning, planning, occasionally drifting into deep thought dreaming about this baby girl (ok, alot of drifting) and checking and double-checking the "to-do" list. Becoming a mom is still an overwhelming thought and I pray daily for wisdom, strength, and understanding in starting this daunting task. Our family verse for her is taken from

Isaiah 55:12
"For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

So after privatizing and de-privatizing my blog (my husband said it made even invited readers create a profile?) I've decided to ask the great wide world out there that reads my blog, what first time mom advice do you have?

Photos of the Day: Maternity

Thanks to Jamie Larson Photography and Mandy Busby Photography (for the referral) I have just received a set of timeless photos. At first it was almost humorous to be participating in a photo shoot as a very pregnant lady, but now I'm so glad we accepted this sweet gift from my "mother-in-love" ;p I love that she and my husband's grandma refer to themselves in this way. Here's a glimpse of a few maternity shots from a park in San Antonio, TX.

Friendship is a Gift

friends make life easier. when someone will listen to your ramblings, complaining, and other "ings" simply because they care, how can we complain. the grace that i see in friendships reminds me of the gift we are entrusted with to each other. God, our Holy Creator, appoints us to every relationship in life. There's purpose, plans, and growing pains in almost every single person God places in our life. Patience takes on new meanings, and trust is stretched by what we bare of our hearts. i enjoy friendships. by the way, can you see my special friend in the backgroung of this picture? that's a laugh!
