Today our 3rd graders painted "Pete the Cat" in preparation for Young Author's Week next week. A simple face,neck,eyes, and whiskers, all in blue. One of the girl's noticed this young boy's painting as he went to put it on the drying rack...thinking he was done. She exclaimed, "you HAVE TO PAINT THE pimple!" He looks forward at my example, "the pimple? what's the pimple, I don't even know what a pimple is anyway!" She told him more confidently, "look inside the eye- THE PIMPLE!" , you have to paint it!"
He conceded and said, "OK fine, but I don't remember anything about painting the pimple."
I love my little friends!
