1,000 Words

So is it true? A picture is worth a thousand words? I think so, at least as I begin to reflect on the long year, as if it were ending in June, but for me, a teacher, it is over for now. Traveling to visit with my sister & her husband, my niece and three nephews I remembered how good the country looks, feels, and smells. The city life-scape is unique and offers  a variety of urban living and quant experiences, but there's nothing like the countryside. The hours pass so quickly when visiting, from playing freestyle scrabble "BananaRama" (which I highly recommend), to strawberry shortcake, coffee with an awesome married couple, reading on the porch swing, and playing with the kids until I'm out of breath. A highlight was when we went biking on a trail in Suwanee and got lost. There's always the unexpected that makes something simple a memorable event. Johnny braved the bike trail with his training wheels, he only crashed twice, and kept going each time. He's such a team player, at 4 years old. We finished the day with an A&W root beer float, need I say more?Needless to say, the blessing of family and fellowship is a heartfelt experience, and each time it grows sweeter ! Hopefully a full entourage of pictures, via slideshow will be posted soon.
