Bird's nesting inside

There's a bird's nest in the attic. Unfortunately right above a room and near a window, with a hole on the outside. How about that for homeowner's first project? The inspector definitely missed this one. Now I'm relying on the neighbor's handy husband to crawl into the attic, remove the nest and nail a small piece of wood over the hole. The little baby birds twirp and move around. I had no idea! The hole has been patched before, but somehow the patch broke. Amazing the power of a peak, those must be some hungry baby birds. For now, the inside hole covered, maybe the birds will take flight...ehhh!
