Hands for Haiti is the theme for the Urban Art Museum's 3rd Annual Youth Art Show. Explaining to my students how poor Haitians are and the devastation of the earthquake seemed almost impossible. Even though I consider my students who live in a projects housing community to be poor, they're not as poor. Needless to say, they're all excited about the idea and are intrigued with the fact that Haitians look the same as they do. I'll be sure to post the winners that are selected !
