even though we don't know what angels look like, the joy of imagining their beauty is enough. the thoughts that guard that keep back the thoughts that also empower us to imagine heaven. it can be powerful to think on the protection the angels have, their calling, and how Christ mentions them as His servants. the Bible goes on to describe our being created "just a little lower" than the angels themselves. i believe thousands of angels live among us, sing, and serve us on Christ's behalf, at His command. the verse that intrigues me about angels is the one that warns us to "be careful how you treat strangers, you could be entertaining angels."
